Shayboarder's Burton Supermodel Review

- Anonymous:

I just purchased a Burton Supermodel after riding for over 10 years on several different boards. I can honestly say I was very satisfied with this board. The design yeilds great handling in tight chutes/bowl drop-ins, the speed of the WFO bottom is superb and the overall responsiveness of this board is excellent. The board has a slightly stepped back stance and a little wider front end which helps greatly in deeper powder. Overall I would recomend this board to anyone who loves to free-ride back country (bowls, trees, etc.) or just blaze groomers at obnoxious speeds. Great to see the progress of Burton, especially since I started on an "Elite" V-Tail back in the early 90s.

- feld: 5'10'', 155 lb, 162 cm snowboard,

Great all around board. Big enough nose that it makes it nice and floaty in powder but still has plenty of edge control on icy groomers. Fun and mellow at low speeds and very responsive with little to no chatter at high speed. Only con for some people might be that it is a little heavy, so if you're the kind of rider who likes to throw their board around rather than letting your edges do the work, this is not the board for you. If you are only going to have one board for all conditions, this is it as it will get through almost any conditions and is a joy to ride.

- volador: 148 cm snowboard,

I powered down the mountain in Colorado on this board and had lots of fun. It's great for riding down the mountain super fast and carving through both powder and ice. It's definitely a really fast board.

- Dirtydragon: 5'10, 180 lb, 158 cm snowboard,

I bought this for my fiancee as a birthday present last year... purely based on looks alone. I heard it rides really well and is medium flex normal camber board. But lets talk about what is really important to girls, the Looks. This thing is beautiful, staring at it, is like looking into a scene from the Never Ending Story. The falling leaves, the pink and green accents, it is by far the most beautiful board I have ever seen, and my girl loves it
